@novafiregalaxy2048 months ago My Walmart used to sell tons of the animal crossing amiibo figures. I didn't buy them because I couldn't use them. A couple years later I could and they hadn't sold them since long after, and even GameStop doesn't. I'm missing ONE figure. ... 6

I was still in the store just chatting with the employee that morning and as someone else walked in to pick up their preorder, the power went out and they couldn’t sell it. ... 1

Initially, we went to buy me my first smartphone (it was around $50 used), but we also discovered the option to buy a "Like New" 3DS for the same price. I went for the phone.. My mom even suggested I should take the 3DS instead, but I didn't listen-

@Skipatronic4 months ago Also back in 2018 when the Off the Hook Splatoon amiibos dropped, I picked them up as well as the lone NES Classic they had. Never saw both the Amiibos or the NES Classic ever again.

@capnjagg8 months ago Not completely unaffordable now, but back in the day my dad had lost my GBA SP (we were splitting time playing ALttP and he left it on the back of his work truck one morning before driving off). He had offered to buy me a new one, and I was going to pick up one of the NES Edition SPs as a replacement, but then a neighbor that had found my original caught wind and returned it to us. The shell was all beat up, and my dad still offered to buy me a replacement, but I come from a working class family and I knew it was a lot of money that we didn’t need to spend, so I passed. I still regret it, but I’m thankful I got it back. ...

@garrettwimberly75998 months ago Metal Gear Solid 3 for the 3DS. The second they announced the eDhop closing, people realized it was removed a year beforehand. So the physical copies cost a fortune now. I saw one for 30 bucks before the price hike.

I found a listing on Craigslist for a brand new one, and the owner was just a teenager who wanted to trade, I don’t think she didn’t really knew what she had. We communicated for a while and she was willing to trade it for an old iPhone that I hadn’t used in over 2 years, 2 GameCube games and a few Wii games. I didn’t even care about the games because I had already downloaded them to a hard drive on the Wii. It was a perfect set of circumstances ...

@collinmillis4872last month Turbo: Stunt Racing Squad. Got it when I was young thought it was bad sold it for probably 20 dollars. It is currently worth over a hundred and would have been worth 90 when I sold it.
