In what is a super Saturday we have two mouth-watering encounters on the cards. In the 50th match of the season Delhi Capitals (DC) clash with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. With the points table getting tougher this clash is of much importance for both these sides. So a thrilling contest awaits us with RCB trying to make a league double over their counterparts while DC will be trying to take revenge for their loss at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium. Team Preview (Royal Challengers Bangalore): The Bengaluru-based franchise is currently (as of match 48) placed in fifth place in the points table. They have ten points from nine games winning five and losing four matches. The Faf du Plessis-led side is bang in the middle of the points table and one or two hiccups here and there would pull them down considerably. RCB haven't been consistent overall this season. But a plus point for them is that they have done well away from home. Du Plessis Kohli and Maxwell are doing all the talks with the bat while Mohammed Siraj has been a spearhead with the ball. Josh Hazlewood did well in his comeback game and is a key pacer for the Red Army. Shahbaz Ahmed Anuj Rawat Dinesh Karthik Suyash Prabhudessai and Mahipal Lomror haven't supported their top order while Harshal Patel is coming back nicely after a few poor outings in the first half of the tournament. Royal Challengers Bangalore will be high on confidence after their excellent bowling performance against Lucknow Super Giants as they defended 126 runs quite comfortably and everyone witnessed fiery Virat Kohli at the Ekana Stadium. Team Preview (Delhi Capitals): The David Warner-led side struggled to get started as they lost the first five games and were in deep waters despite having Ricky Ponting Sourav Ganguly and Praveen Amre in the coaching staff. Later they came back with a bang winning three of their next four contests but still DC found themselves at the bottom of the table. They have five games remaining and if they stand any chance for qualification the Capitals must win all the remaining matches. The Delhi-based franchise's bowling has been their main strength and their batters have completely disappointed. While David Warner has been a lone warrior with the bat in hand Axar Patel has been doing well with his all-round skills. Anrich Nortje Kuldeep Yadav and Ishant Sharma have been consistent with Mukesh Kumar and the rest of the bowlers chipping in with decent contributions. One of the main drawbacks has been DC's overseas batters. They tried Rilee Rossouw Rovman Powell and also Phil Salt with all three of them not getting used to the environment of IPL. Marsh was scratchy initially but a four-wicket haul plus a fifty got him back in form but was in a losing cause against Sunrisers Hyderabad. What to expect: Barring the one low-scoring game here against KKR the average first-innings score has been 177. SRH in the previous game here are the only team so far to successfully defend a score albeit it was an above par one. A partially cloudy day with the weather dropping to late 20s by the time the game gets underway. Head-to-Head (DC vs RCB): In the 29 matches played between these two sides RCB have had a clear upper hand winning 18 matches. While DC have won 10 matches one of the games had no result due to rain. In addition to it RCB have won the last four encounters against the Delhi-based franchise! Audio Content Disclaimer For This Content This is self-created content and not copied content.
