Brač is a Croatian island in the Adriatic sea that boasts spectacular nature, picturesque small towns and beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters. Brac is the nearest island to Split and it takes about 1 hour to travel from Split to Brac by ferry. The main entry point to Brac island is Supetar, its capital and largest town. Brac island is most famous with its large V-shape pebble beach Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn) that changes its shape depending on the wind and tide. Zlatni Rat is located in the small town of Bol and is one of Croatia's best beaches. To get to Bol you can get a taxi or a bus from Supetar for about 1 hour. Zlatni Rat beach is 2 km from the central part of Bol and you go through a shady pine trees promenade to reach the beach. Along the way you will see other small beaches. Zlatni Rat offers various beach activities - aquapark, banana ride, paddle boats and more. There are also a few bars and restaurants on the beach and on the promenade that leads to the beach.
