Happy New Year 2020! This video shows how to make a traditional breakfast from south India, that is Aapam. These are light and ideal for breakfast . Aapams are served with a side dish of either Thengai paal (coconut milk sweetened) or a vegetable stew. Ingredients for Aapam Raw rice 1 cup idli rice 1 cup(parboiled rice) Urad dal 1/4 cup Poha/rice flakes 1/4 cup methi(fenugreek seeds) 2 tsp For thenga paal Coconut milk 1/2 cup Jaggery 1/2 cup cardamom powder 1/4 tsp For Vegetable Stew Coconut milk 11/2 cups Mixed vegs(carrot,onion,cauliflower,green peas, beans,potato) Green chillies ginger ,cardamom, cinnamon,cloves,somph(fennel seeds) Salt to taste
