The Falaise Pocket in 1944 was the end of the German Army in Normandy. After the failed counter attack toward Mortain earlier in the month, the Allies surrounded the retreating German Army and crushed them in what would become known as the Falasie Pocket. In this episode of WW2 Wayfinder, I take you on a journey through the Falaise Pocket (Falaise Gap as it was also known) and discover a wide range of Then and Now photos from August 1944. #ww2history #falaise #falaisepocket #thenandnow #history #normandy #wwii #ww2 #ww2wayfinder #panthertank #tiger131 #tigertank #shermantank #thenandnowchallenge #normandylandings #wehrmacht Support the channel at: Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/WW2Wayfinder?l=de Buy Me A Coffee: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/ww2wayfinder Follow WW2 Wayfinder On: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/WW2Wayfinder Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ww2wayfinder/ Buy Me A Coffee: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/ww2wayfinder Music: https://www.epidemicsound.com
