Medu Vada premix
The doughnut shaped lentil snack ie our medu vada is a very common breakfast snack in most of the south indian households. Traditional medu vada requires soaking of the lentils , grinding the lentils which is a huge process by itself. Here comes a very easy recipe to make a instant vada pre-mix that can be used for making vadas in a jiffy.
Ingredients
To make the premix
Urad dal – 3cups
Salt – 1tsp
Baking Soda – ½ tsp
To make medu vada
Green Chilly – 2
Asafoetida – 1tsp
Ginger – 1 inch grated
Curry leaves – few
Water – ¼ - ½ cups
Oil – for frying
