@closetprofit47577 months agoAaron Sorkin wrote the script for The Social Network, so I think you give Fincher a bit more credit than he deserves. But in an interview Sorkin did later he admitted to asking for Fincher's advice about directing his own dialogue, so it is admittedly Fincher's fault that The Social Network was so good. ...
@
@KyleCorwith7 years agoThe mere fact that Fincher has not received an Oscar speaks more about the Academy's mistakes than Fincher's talent. 365

@VVFilms7 years agoThank you so much! I've binged watched at least 15 videos on this channel and I had to hold my urge to click on the hour long Fincher analysis. This channel is definitely up there with Lessons from the Screenplay and Every Frame a Painting. This is some really good quality stuff. @
@naisammon49868 months agoThe Ramones? This is a beautifully, edited, well written, and very well narrated -great voice!-video, I dig it. This seems like such a nitpicky and petty comment on your video but when you let such easy mistakes in it makes me question every “fact” that you say during the whole video.God, this seems so pedantic, but really like when you’re watching an informative video and you’re learning from it you want to know that the things you’re learning are true. I’m not an expert and everything in this video but I know a thing or two about Rock’N’Roll or whatever… Overall just a really high quality, the kind of video that makes me so glad creative people like yourself can use YouTube to make something better than any television network used to make. I’m just saying, I hope everything else I’m watching in the video is factual(that’s the Dead Kennedys by the way, also there’s nothing punk about Mark Zuckerberg either but that’s a gripe I have with David Fincher’s interpretation of him not your cool video). Keep it up, great channel! ...

@
@JuanHernandez-ze3si5 years agoGreat video as always. The only thing I would argue is that in "Gone Girl" the villain is, in fact, Ben Affleck's character. If you think about it from Fincher's perspective it makes sense. 6

@coolvids8417 years agoI wouldn't really consider The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo a failure. Generally, you want to earn 2-3x the budget of the film. The film had a budget of 90 million and made 232.6 million. For an R-rated crime drama, I have to feel Sony was fine with this, especially considering that they were working on a script for The Girl Who Played with Fire up until 2014. ...45

@fuzzydunlop79285 years agoBruh Joseph Mazzello was the lead character and emotional center of 'The Pacific' - Band of Brother's sister series (and imo the superior series of the two). Granted, both The Pacific and The Social Network came out around 2010, but it was bit higher profile than his part in The Social Network. Also, be prepared to NEVER live down that Ramones/Dead Kennedys gaff. :P ...2
